A Little About Me, Karen
I have been training dogs for the past 10 years working with all sizes and types. I started training using the traditional method of compulsion which is giving the dog a correction when it does something incorrectly. The correction is usually jerking the leash hard enough so the dog doesn't want to repeat what it did. Once I had access to the internet I discovered positive reinforcement and clicker training and consequently I enrolled in the Karen Pryor Academy.
I firmly believe that force and punishment is not necessary to train with and that with positive reinforcement the results are far superior. Another plus is that it is so much more fun! You have a dog that loves to train and that is a joy to be around.
In addition to training I also have experience working in the boarding and day care business and volunteer at the local animal shelter.
